It's Nice That - Shades of Intelligence Visual Identity

I created the identity of "Shades of Intelligence" for It's Nice That. “Shades of Intelligence” is a new series investigating the creative industry’s growing relationship with AI.
In this commission, I imagined the application of AI in the creative industry like a growing child learning to speak, trying hard to learn to adapt to human language and be used by creative people. So I used a lot of elements that would appear when learning a new language, such as flashcards, spelling games, etc.
This is a series of articles well worth reading. The visual process was also very enjoyable. Because AI is an existence without a fixed form, in my vision, I mainly rely on dialogue to express the existence of AI. Africa Pombo and Ruby Boddington and I also thought about a lot of hypothetical conversations from AI together. Some of inspiration also comes from early AI tool like the paper clip of windows📎
All in all, rather than the "AI-generated style" visual, I would like to imagine AI as a more personalized tool that is in its initial stages and can be used by creative people - just as its development goals are.

我為 It's Nice That 的 Shades of Intelligence 設計了整體視覺識別。這是一個全新的專題系列，探討 AI 與創意產業之間日益緊密的關係。
在這次委託中，我將 AI 在創意領域中的角色想像成一個正在學習說話的孩子——努力理解人類的語言，逐漸適應與創作者互動的方式。因此，我運用了許多與語言學習相關的元素，例如字卡、拼字遊戲等，作為整體視覺的基礎。
這是一個非常值得閱讀的系列，而整個視覺創作的過程也讓我非常享受。由於 AI 並沒有固定的形態，在我的想像中，它更像是透過「對話」而存在。因此，我主要以對話作為視覺表現的核心。我也和 Africa Pombo和Ruby Boddington 一起構思了許多 AI 與人之間的假想對話，其中一部分靈感也來自早期的 AI 工具，例如 Windows 經典的迴紋針助手 📎。
比起套用現在大家熟悉的「AI 生成風格」，我更希望把 AI 描繪成一個更有人性、更具個性的創作工具——一個仍處於發展初期，並持續陪伴創作者一起成長的工具。
