They speak multiple languages (Malay, English, Chinese and Hindi) and have three major races (Malays, Chinese and Indians).Motoguo is famous for its nostalgic design. In this season, they decided to make a mellow and sleepy collection——The Art of Letting Go. The inspiration comes from the fact that the founders of Motoguo @guomoto @a_kinder_a_day never had a good sleep after founding the brand😴 It made them very nostalgic for their childhood, even when they had narcolepsy and used to leaked urine💧(you can see some drops and pacifiers in the posters and on the products) and dream a lot.In Asian cultures, especially Chinese culture, people believe that things in dreams often foretell a certain direction in future life. For example, one of the interpretations of dreaming about snakes🐍is that you will get rich soon💰Dreams are often associated with superstition; after waking from a dream, some people will seek Master Zhou to interpret their dreams. It’s called 周公解夢The multicultural background always leads us to have too many stories to tell. I feel the same way with motoguo, so I decided to help them directly express this mixed feeling through visuals. family helping to keep China the largest exporter of goods in the world. The origin of the story is a fabric printing factory in Guangdong, China, one of the birthplaces of “Made in China”. At the factory I met the two daughters of the owner, xinxin and her sister yu. Through them, I explored the neglected family relationships, children's isolation and emotional problems of these factory practitioners behind the "economic miracle" in China. Full introduction: In the process of visiting different factories, I always meet many children who are left neglected in the corners. They are all children of people who work in the factories. I've found that their personalities have two extremes, one is very enthusiastic and longing for someone to accompany them. The second is extremely introverted, afraid to communicate with people. Because of their parents' long working hours (often exceeding 12 hours), most of their time out of school is basically spent in the factory. And of course, this phenomenon is more widespread during the holidays. All of this caught my attention. When the media talks about Made in China, it starts talking about those huge and practical issues. About wages, working hours, left-behind children, labor security, etc. As a country that attaches great importance to family responsibilities, when I talk to many practitioners, I find that the driving force for them to make money is often for the family, especially for their children. Behind the complex economic miracle of China, the motivation of individuals is very simple. But this delicate but more important issue has been overlooked.A complex topic with many different perspectives: “Made in China” in the Western context always seems to have negative connotations. The West understand “Made in China” products to be low-quality, produced under poor working conditions with excessive working hours, etc. although this understanding is full of various contradictions, and the discussion cannot be completed through simple moral criticism. In an insecure environment, when these factory owners make money, they want to make more money. But in the process of expanding, they are always playing a game that is bound to lose: No matter whether their business expansion is successful or not, the emotional companionship and education of their children will definitely be missing. So I started to think, with such a huge topic and my limited ability to have an impact here, what can I do for the individual? In the past two years, I have been going to the factory almost every weekend to see Xinxin and her sister. I think co-creation can be an effective companion so I bring all my painting tools and share with them. From simple painting at the beginning, to complex clothing design later, in the busy factory environment we created a 'mini factory' in the corner; using the resources and environment of the factory to maximize mutual stimulation, transforming high-efficiency industrialized machines into tools that allow them to see their talents. I divided the creative process with them through the past two years into seven stages. xinxin和她的妹妹yu。通過她們，我探究了在中國製造這一“經濟奇蹟”的背後所被人忽略的家庭培育，子女教育，和這些工廠從業者的子女的情感問題。 完整介紹： 在我探訪不同工廠的過程中總是會遇到很多被忽略在工廠角落的小孩。他們都是在工廠里工作的人的小孩。我發現他們的個性呈現兩個極端，一種是非常熱情，渴望有人可以陪伴他們。第二種是極度的內向，害怕與人交流。而因為他們父母過長的工作時間（最長可能超過12小時），他們除了上學以外的大部分時間基本都是在工廠中度過的。並且這種現象在假期會更常見，所以這引起我的注意。 一旦媒體討論中國製造，就會開始討論那些巨大而實際的問題。比如關於工資、工作時長、留守兒童、勞工保障等等。中國人作為一個重視家庭責任的民族，我跟很多從業者對話時發現對於他們而言掙錢的驅動力往往是為了家庭，尤其是為了他們的子女。在中國這個複雜的經濟奇蹟現象的背後，個體的驅動力卻又非常簡單。但這個細膩卻更重要的問題被忽視了。 在加了各種目的的討論中，當以西方為語境去討論中國製造，西方媒體似乎總是呈現負面的態度。比如關於低質量的產品，糟糕的工作環境，過長的工作時間等等。但裡面其實充滿著各種矛盾，並無法通過簡單的道德批判就完成討論的。 在一個缺少安全感的環境中，當這些工廠老闆賺到了錢，他們就會想要賺更多的錢。但在擴大的過程裡，他們始終在玩一個一定會輸的遊戲：無論他們的生意擴張是否能成功，他們的子女的情感陪伴和教育是一定會缺失的。於是我開始思考，在如此龐大的話題中，和我有限的能力中，我可以為個體做點什麼？ 在過去兩年的每週末我幾乎都會去工廠找xinxin和她妹妹。我認為共同創作可以成為一種有效的陪伴方式。於是我帶上我所有的繪畫工具，與他們分享每個週末。從一開始簡單的繪畫，到後來複雜的服裝設計。在繁忙的工廠環境中，我們在工廠的角落自己創造了一個 Macau, the gambling industry has already surpassed the Las Vegas in the United States by seven times. It is called the Oriental Monte Carlo. The development of the gambling industry alone in Macau China, brings huge profits and disadvantages. My design is to inspire local residents to communicate with the government through a series of prints. They are made to push the government balance between development and sustainability.&nbsp; I designed advertisements of Macau casinos based on traditional Chinese rituals, to make people "memorise" the "dead city" by the way of sacrifice (scattering fake money, and burning, etc.), through which the information of protest will be carried to every corner of the city.As part of the action, I designed the ironic costumes of “welcome to make a killing in Macau”. 2019 澳門 賭博城市 by Suzy Chan 賭業作為澳門經濟的支柱，其收入已經超過美國拉斯維加斯的7倍，被稱為東方蒙地卡羅。賭業的單一發展帶來巨大利潤的同時，也給城市帶來很多壞處。年輕人的就業方向單一（大多只能去賭場工作），城市景觀被浮誇的賭場風格嚴重破壞（在城市中心建假巴黎鐵塔、威尼斯運河），遊客過度導致本地居民生活受到干擾等等。在一部分人眼中，澳門已經成為毫無生機、只迎合遊客的”死亡城市”。 我的設計是通過一系列印刷品激勵當地居民與政府溝通，旨在推動政府在經濟發展與可持續生態之間取得平衡。 我根據中國傳統祭祀用品設計了澳門賭場的“廣告”，讓人們通過傳統祭祀方式（撒錢，燒錢等）的方式“悼念”這座“死去的城市”，抗議信息將通過這些方式傳遞導城市的每個角落。作為行動的一部分，我設計了“澳門歡迎你來大發橫財”這類有諷刺意味的服飾 。 <img width="4961" Zhen's art company- Madein Company. This is a group exhibition. The discussion background of the exhibition is the current cultural chaos in China (host live show, web celebrity, tik tok etc.) and the curation team told me that they want to make this exhibition like a Pop-up Exhibition that attracts many internet celebrities, but the behavior of "want to make a pop-up Exhibition" is just one way to discuss those cultural chaos problem in China.&nbsp; The keywords are virtual, consumerism, capital, hub, dense, young, Internet celebrity, mixed, and network flow. My visual solution is to use this virtual and wild visual language to describe the state of some cultural chaos in China today. If the keywords in these cultural chaos are interaction, experience, selfie, then my visual language corresponds to vivid, beautiful, strange, and even wild. Concept: Animals in the wild jungle are not domesticated, and even grow wildly into the skin of another animal, but the system continues to operate. I use this method to metaphor / describe the wild state of culture. 與策展團隊溝通得知他們想把這個展覽做成網紅展的樣子, 但“想做成網紅展”這個行為本身也只是探討問題的方式之一。關鍵詞分別有虛擬、消費主義、資本、樞紐、稠密、年輕、網紅、混雜、流量下沉。 我的視覺解決方案是“用流量視覺去解決流量現場問題”。如果“流量展”對應的是流量下沉、互動、體驗、自拍, 那“流量視覺”對應的就是鮮豔、美觀、奇特、甚至獵奇。所以方案主要從“野生”這個側重點提出。 概念: The event is in the form of a lunch, DJ dance floor and nail art. I chose the food carts commonly found on the roadside in Indonesia as inspiration and attached the information to the carts. And use a rich colors to highlight this is an LGBTQ event. In this project, I wanted to help BAESIANZ express my vibrant impression of the streets of Southeast Asia through hand-drawn illustrations, mixed colors, and bold typography. I try to create a vibrant Southeast Asian impression.In addition to the posters, I also designed their fundraising t-shirt designs. because of the story of the comics, (I never read comics) but because I love collecting the fonts in the comics. Fonts are often used in comics to help the main characters express their emotions. So I was thinking, what if the font is dominant enough and then pushes other elements of the comic out of space and makes itself the main character? A comic font? Not a font with a comic style, but the font as a comic character itself. Unknown virus and fear pervade every country and affect everyone's mood. During that time, as a designer, I avoided the screen and picked up a paintbrush to paint a lot of plants and insects. Those seem to be the only soothing things in a bad world. Then I hope that the warm and inclusive feeling of plants can be experienced by more people, so I made them into thick carpets. I want everyone to have a corner where they feel safe in a chaotic world. 2020花 by Suzy
